Just about every year my church has this planed 30 hour famine for the youth group and anyone else who would like to join. The purpose of it is to remind us of all the starving people all over the world who do not have the connivances that we have here in America. We start our fasting at noon time on Friday and then meet at the church on Friday evening for "the lock in" and have a little Bible study on biblical fasting, after that we have the whole rest of the night to hangout and play games. Then we sleep there Friday night and hangout and play games all day Saturday, and then later we have one more Bible study about fasting. We end the 30 hour fasting at 6:00 Saturday evening with pizza for everyone.
