After
almost six years of longing to visit Paris, since late
1993, my dream trip finally came true in August of 1999.
I started getting interested in French stuff when I
created my own cartoon characters that I decided to make
French back in 1993. It was then I started looking up
books about France at my local library and reading about Paris, I wanted to
visit this place very badly. In April of 1999 a friend
from church, Rob, decided to go ahead and plan a
trip to Paris with me for summer of that year. Rob is
always traveling to Europe and my Mom came up with the
idea of asking Rob if he’s ever planning a trip to
Paris if I could go with him, Rob and I talked about
it after church one Sunday in April and Rob liked the idea and that's when we decided to
go ahead and make the trip. I was excited and couldn’t
wait obviously. This was my first time traveling off the
American continent and to Europe, so I needed to get a
passport. I got that in June and got it in the mail
just in time a few weeks before I had to leave.
