This day was the
day we went to Giverny, I think its north of Paris.
This is where the famous French painter, Claude Monet,
lived and painted. Sometime in the morning we went to the
train station to purchase our tickets to Giverny, the
same station we bought our tickets to Geneva. We had
about an hour before the next train so we had some time
to kill, we didnt eat yet so we had some pizza
there at the train station, it was good.
When
the time came we boarded our train from Paris ST Lazare
and about 45 minutes later we arrived at Vernon. From
there we took a bus to the small town of Giverny, once
there we purchased our tickets into Claude Monets
gardens. We spent a few hours there, the gardens were
very beautiful and the whole place was filled with a nice
aroma, there were so many different kinds of flowers.
After walking around the gardens for a long time we got
to tour the inside of Claude Monet's house, the actuall
house he lived in. They didn't allow us to take pictures
inside since there was original artwork in there of his,
so I didn't get any pictures or videos inside the house.
It was amazing, I was walking all over inside the place
where this famous French painter once lived. There was
still original artwork of his hanging on the walls all
over the house, the place was beautiful.
Later
on after the house we bought some stuff at the gift shop
there. I got a colorful tie with one of Monets
paintings printed on it, and Rob got a few ties and a
vest that was just like the type that Monet wore.
After
we were done we took a taxi back to Vernon to the train
station and departed back to Paris. About 45 minutes to
an hour or so we were back in Paris. For the remainder of
the day we just walked a little bit, we probably had
dinner and stuff. A little later on we went on over to
the Eiffel Tower and relaxed. We probably had our Habbana
cigars again.
