Autumn is my favorite time of year. I like wearing a comfortable sweater and jeans and walking around watching the leaves turn and not being too hot or too cold. Autumn is like the balance of the year there are no "really hot" days and no "really cold" days which to me is perfect.
I once wrote a poem about the different seasons, and I likened it to the "way of a man with a woman" (a phrase from Proverbs).
Spring is like when you first fall in love - everything is bright and carefree. The sights and smells seem like "new" like you have never seen or smelled them before.
Summer is the season of courtship and marriage. As two people get to know each other they "laugh and play under the sun in blissful wonder"
Autumn is the season of Life - the Harvestime - when love deepens into a frutfull harvest of good times and bad.
Winter is the season of parting. When the cold snow covers the grave I remark about the full life we had together and say that I will always "Remember the Spring she gave"
