On Monday I'll be the owner of a laptop. One of the guys at work, Kevin, is selling his because he wants to get a regular desktop computer. His laptop is the only computer he's got, and he wants to get a regular computer instead. Also, his older brother keep taking his laptop when he's not around and hiding it on him. :o)
He said he'll have to type up a report for collage and his computer will be gone, and his brother hides it because he knows Kevin will come looking for it. So he wants to get rid of the laptop and get a regular computer. It's only a year old, it's a K6-2, just two steps below my regular computer, which is a K7. I'm getting it for $600, it was hardly used. He bought it just about a month or so after I started working there, I think it cost him $1200 or something like that, he had made payments on it. The thing is in great shape, he had it at work yesterday (Friday) and it looks brand new.So, this will be cool. When I go away on trips I can take all of my files with me and still work on my website and E-mail everyone from a computer that's still my own, where ever I go. I'm going to get a network card for it for when I get DSL at home, so I can have a third computer Online. Also, I'll be able to transfer files back and fourth from my main computer and the laptop without using a disc.
Pretty cool, huh?
