> Well, for all of those that happen to miss it, tonight on Fox the show "Who Wants to Marry a Multimillionaire?" aired, and was without a doubt one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen in my whole life. The show that has been talked about for weeks now has finally aired ... let me give you a rundown:

> The show begins with the "Millionaire" in a little booth area, in which nobody was able to see him. 50 girls were then paraded on the stage, like a Miss America competition. Out of the 50 women, 10 were chosen to go to the semifinals. In the semifinals, the girls were each asked a random question ... with a multiple chose answer. This is what I call "kiss-up time," because during this time, the family of the "Millionaire" got to vote on what girls they liked, depending on the answers they gave. it was quite obvious that the girls were just trying to say the "right thing." Next, was the swimsuit competition (like we didn't' see THIS coming). After this 5 of the women were chosen for the finals. The five women were all asked "personal" questions ... you know, likes and dislikes ... once again, obvious kissing up. After this is were the show really got sickening. The 5 girls were all brought out in wedding dresses, they gave final comments like "If you pick me, I'll treat you right," "If you pick me I'll be devoted to you forever.". blah blah blah. After the pleas, we saw a little tape all about the "Millionaire", he then was FINALLY brought out. One comment he made was "I really hope to find a meaningful relationship"... and of course, if not, hey, that's what pre-nups are for.. right Mr. Millionaire? He then picked the girl he wanted to marry, and actually GOT DOWN ON HIS KNEE and asked the girl to marry him. At this point, I was about ready to throw up, knowing that I have just witnessed one of the most disgusting events ever to air on tv. After this was the lovely wedding.. oh, this was something else all together. They were married by a WOMAN, who is licensed by the state of Nevada (no suprise). As they looked into each other's eyes, saying their "I promises" I couldn't help but feel pure sickness over-come me, without a twinkle, or spark of love in either of their eyes (in fact they more or less resembled two teens sharing a first kiss over a game of "Spin the Bottle"). They then exchanged rings, and shared a kiss. After the kiss, the song "I loved you before I met you" started up, and they began to dance together.. by this point, I was ready to throw a brick at my tv set.

> This show, has not only lessened the very purity of love, but they have aided in cheapening the very act of marriage, one of the most beautiful covenants that God has given to us, the act in which two people, a man and woman, express their love, and devote the rest of their life to the other. Such a beautiful and pure thing, that has already become a joke to society, has now reached the same status as a game-show prize. I am thoroughly disgusted, and deeply saddened to see what marriage has been lowered to in this nation. Fox has made a mistake in airing such garbage.

I got to see it when there was only five of them. Why would someone get married at the same time when they first met the person??
