Just reading your description of this farce is enough to turn my stomach. And it is things like this that cause me not to bother wasting my time in front of network TV.
If you take a minute, however, and step inside the shoes of Fox TV you can almost see the perverted logic of this show. After all they have a hit game with "Who wants to be a Millionaire?" and it has long been a major Hollywood theme concerning "marrying into money." So they changed one word:
From: "Who wants to be a millionaire?"
To: "Who wants to marry a millionaire?"
I would not be suprised if some day they took a "winner" from the first show and ran him through the second as well.
